Happy Christmas and New Year!

Happy Christmas and New Year!

Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy!

As we enjoy this holiday season, we are filled with a so much gratitude and joy. This year, we celebrated our 15th anniversary – and we could not have done it without all of you. Words cannot express the blessings we feel knowing what a community surrounds our family. We each hope that your Christmas and New Year is filled with such joy and a tremendous sense of wonder!

If we are lucky enough to see you for a visit….our holiday hours will only have a few minor modifications. We are closing at 2 pm on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. Beyond that we are just looking forward to seeing those who come to visit for the holidays!

There are some great things happening over the next couple of weeks too!

Jan Hicks Meet and Greet – Saturday, 12/23 10 am – 2 pm

If you are not familiar with Jan Hicks’ cross stitch designs – what a great way to meet her and learn her style! Jan Hicks Creates has fantastic designs from reproduction samplers to lovely patterns for holidays and more. Jan is planning to bring several samples – and we have patterns! Bring your stitching for a peaceful get-to-know with this amazing designer.

Here is a great article posted by Cottage Garden Threads on Jan for your reading pleasure!

New Year’s Shop Party – Saturday, 1/6 12 pm – 1 pm

We are planning to ring in 2024 the first Saturday in the year! Join us to celebrate. You can bring a bit of lunch to share and/or bring a gift to swap! In all – just come and enjoy!

Stitching on Wool

Stitching on Wool – Monday, 1/15 10:30 am – 3 pm / Sunday, 1/21 1-3pm

Do you love Sue Spargo’s colorful, intricately stitched work? Are you intimidated by the complicated surfaces? Prepare yourself for working on wool by creating a sampler of stitches using various needles and weights of thread – and a bit of applique. Beth Cunningham is teaching this class – and not only is she is a wonderful teacher but an inspiring woman!

Please call the shop to reserve your spot – 830.995.5539! The class is in two parts – the first to learn the basics – and the second to get your first project picked and started! (Yes, we are having the first class session on a Monday as it is a holiday and hoping many of you will not be at work.). More details on the class can be found here.

We do have more great classes being finalized for 2024 to include a ribbon needlepoint class – and another needlepoint class to take your skills and confidence further along. Please watch for these to be announced. And I am feeling the need for a knitalong and a crochetalong…. What ideas do you have? Always appreciate it if you drop me a line and let me know what you are looking to learn!

Again, our family hopes you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

You can always check on new “stuff” by jumping on to our online shop and/or following us on Instagram or Facebook. One of my goals in 2024 is to post more of our shop inventory in our online shop so you can find what we have to offer even if you cannot be close by.

More joy in 2024!
