If you haven’t yet had a chance to see Kumihimo braids – you need to add this technique to your lexicon!
These fantastic braids can be created in a variety of fibers (and have beads added) for so many things that we create here at The Tinsmith’s Wife (e.g., bag handle, cording on a needlepoint ornament).
Charlotte, who is a well-respected jewelry maker and one of our regulars, is introducing us to the art of kumihimo. She has created a project for us to learn the basics of kumihimo while creating a braid that can be used after on a knitted or crocheted bag, to hang a perfect pendant, or to finish a stitched needlework piece!
Your class fee of $40 will include: instruction, bobbins, kumihimo disk, and yarns to make a 24″ braid.
Please give us a call at 830.995.5539 to reserve your spot.
