23 Mar Introduction to Brioche & Tuck Stitch
We are so excited to have an introduction brioche and tuck stitch class on the books – has been a long time coming to learn this amazing technique. Best yet – we have an amazing teacher – Kim Hayes – to teach us!!!
The Tuck and Brioche Stitches are a fun way to use more than one color without having to use the stranded color technique. Nancy Marchant, the Queen of Brioche (now known as the Mother Tucker), has come up with a fast and easy way of knitting the Tuck stitch using slipped stitches and yarn overs similar to her brioche technique. This class starts by learning Tuck Stitch in the round and graduates to 2 color brioche.
Kim has designed a neat cowl that will bring to life these different techniques in a one-day class. You will need approximately 100 grams of two colors of DK / light worsted weight yarn and sizes US 7 and US 5, 16” circular needles.
Our day will start early – and then we will have a break for lunch and finish up in the afternoon!
